HISTORY

Softleys Restaurant is a Grade II Listed building dating back to 1794 which is located in the small medieval town of Market Bosworth.

As the name suggests, Market Bosworth evolved as a market town, having been granted a Royal Charter in AD1285.

Our modern name comes from the Rev. Derek Softley, a Methodist Minister in the neighbouring Leicestershire village of Barwell. When the old Barwell chapel had to be demolished due to unsafe foundations, some of the fixtures were used within Softleys.
